Since the school year has ended, my family and I have been busy doing numerous chores around the farm. One of the things on my to-do list is to find flowers for my window boxes and pots.
Tonight at church I was given nearly two flats of flowers for free. The flowers had been used in a planter and now they were going to be replaced with something else.
My son had mentioned he wanted some purple flowers for a flower bed near his workshop and there are indeed, purple flowers among the many colors.
My husband and I have been discussing some changes we want to make for one of our sons. It will be a stretch of faith, but that is a muscle that God has been working on for a while. The flowers tonight were just one more way I felt God encouraging me. It was as if He said, “I know what you need even when you don’t share your needs with anyone” (see Philippians 4:19).
“Consider the lilies of the fields…” (Matthew 6:25-34). God knows our concerns and what is on our minds and hearts long before we ever speak of them.
He will take care of you, He will.
