Glorious

I took a walk on our farm this morning. The sun was just coming up, the animals were eating their breakfast and all was glorious and quiet. 20130801-072829.jpg
There are days when sitting in a room with books for quiet reflection and study cannot do for my soul what a simple walk in nature can do.

The Psalms are full of verses that describe God’s creation (see Psalm 40:5, 92:4, 104:24, 104:31, 111:1).

I do think Psalm 104 says it best, “My soul, praise Yahweh! LORD, my God, You are very great; You are clothed with majesty and splendor. He wraps Himself in light as if it were a robe, spreading out the sky like a canopy, laying out the beams of His palace on the waters above…” (verses 1-3).

The whole chapter proclaims the amazing works of God and how He designed everything perfectly. This is how my soul feels this morning. I am so grateful for the sunshine and the birds singing; so grateful for all God has done and continues to do in my life.

Find a hymn, a worship song, take a walk, enjoy the creation around you and celebrate the Creator.

    Good Morning, Gretchen:

Your posts are always so inspiring and uplifting!
I can tell you’re enjoying your summer !
    When does school start ?
I would like to invite you to lunch at the Burnt Toast Restaurant here in Elgin, at your convenience before school starts….if that would work for you.

    Have a blessed weekend!

    Dean
