it only takes one

When all seems lost, have you ever noticed there is one person who will stand up and say, There is still hope?

One person can change the situation, help find a new way, clear a new path, build a new dream, put a hand out to pull another up.  It only takes one person.

Just look at the Old Testament for examples of this kind of Faith.

Abram — one man called to leave everything he knew and take his family to a place God would show him became the Father of Nations.

Moses— one man who dared stand before the Pharaoh and demand that the Israelites be set free.

Joseph– a young man who was singled out, sold into slavery, and became the second in command of all of Egypt.

Caleb— an old man, who still stood up and declared that he was ready to take the land that God had promised.

Gideon- the “runt” of his family, who through God’s direction and help, took on Israel’s powerful enemy.

Daniel– who stood fearlessly in his room praying and praising God, even though the penalty was death.

Esther– who risked her life to stand before the King of Persia on behalf of her kinsmen.

There are others, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Elijah, Jeremiah, all men of Faith who stood, when others bowed in fear, to praise the God of the Universe.

It only takes one person to say, “there is more, God promises more and I believe Him for it.”

Are you that one person?  Will you stand up when others bow or when others say “it doesn’t effect me?” Will you be the one?
