bada$$

A dear friend in Illinois posts verses to his Facebook feed each week to remind us Who is in charge and what can be done through the power of His name.

I find myself looking for these verses each day, hoping that he has posted a new one.  Today was a jackpot, he posted two different “bada$$ verses” today.

This was one of his post’s today:

Badass verses of the week:

““Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:55-58 NIV

Let nothing stop you, for in and through Jesus Christ we are immortal and unstoppable.

Raze Hell.

What I love so much about these verses is that they remind me that I may be a lamb of God, but my God is a roaring lion– Conqueror of Death, Conqueror of Sin, Conqueror of all Evil.  God is the Commander of the Heavenly Host, Shepherd of the Lambs of God, Living Water offering eternal satisfaction to all who are thirsty.

We live as meek Christians too often, somehow buying the lie that we are supposed to be “nice.”   No where, no where,  does it say in Scripture that we are to be nice.  Of all the character traits that are used to describe Jesus, “nice” is not one of them.

We are warriors battling against the gates of Hell.  We serve the Commander of the Heavenly Host, we are His children, we are Victorious because of the Cross.

The devil has had possession of this world for far too long. It is time to raze Hell and raise our praises to our God in Heaven.

Who is with me?
